Darren Worts is an American ultrarunner based in New Jersey who took up marathon running in the 1990s, completing the New York City Marathon in 1997, before moving into ultramarathons in 2001. He has since completed 45 marathons and 34 ultramarathons — including 30 races of 100 miles or more — and logged more than 50,000 lifetime running miles. His results include winning the Badwater 135 across Death Valley in 2002 in 32:38:57, a finish at the Leadville Trail 100, a 420-mile result at a 6-day race in Queens in 2009, and a self-supported 208-mile solo run across the state of New Jersey.
