Dearne Fulcher was an Australian intensive care paramedic based at Penrith, NSW, who spent more than 25 years with NSW Ambulance after joining in 1994. Alongside her medical career she was a competitive ultramarathon runner, a cage fighter, and a third-dan black belt in two martial arts disciplines, having also graduated top of her biomedical degree program. In 2002 she was awarded a Bronze Bravery Medal for her actions treating patients during a series of fires at Medlow Bath. She died in 2023 when a falling tree struck the car she was travelling in during a storm in Katoomba.
