About

Devon Yanko is an American ultrarunner from Colorado with one of the sport's most extraordinary records bridging road and trail — a three-time road national champion at 50 miles and 100km, seven-time Team USA representative, and 2012 Olympic Trials marathon qualifier with a 2:38 PR — who brought that speed to the trails and won Leadville Trail 100 (2017), Javelina Jundred (2015), and Umstead 100 (2022), the latter outright in an unprecedented men-and-women overall victory in the race's 27-year history. In 2022 she was diagnosed with lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome after months of racing through undetected flares; within weeks of beginning treatment with methotrexate — a chemotherapy-class drug — she won the Javelina Jundred 100 Mile in one of the sport's most remarkable acts of resilience. A lululemon ambassador, coach, and writer, Yanko is one of the rare athletes whose career spans Olympic-level road credentials and multi-win 100-mile dominance with equivalent depth at both ends of the endurance spectrum.
