About
Emily Brunt is an Australian ultrarunner from the Blue Mountains of New South Wales — the World Heritage-listed sandstone plateau that hosts the HOKA Ultra-Trail Australia — and one of the race's most consistently competitive elite performers. Competing in the 35-39 age group, she won the women's UTA100 in 2023 (11:33:28) and has finished on the podium at the two editions since: fourth in 2024 (11:27:12) and third in 2025 (11:25:29). Her deep familiarity with the Blue Mountains' technical terrain — steep stone staircases, exposed cliff-top ridges, and narrow valley singletrack she trains on year-round — gives her an advantage on a course that punishes athletes unfamiliar with its rhythms. With a UTMB Index of 706 built across four consecutive UTA starts, Brunt is one of Australia's most reliable elite women at the 100km distance, and in 2026 she stepped up to the new UTAMiler format to make her debut at 100 miles on the course she knows better than almost anyone.
