Emma Timmis is a British ultra-distance runner, coach, and keynote speaker based in New Zealand who holds multiple Guinness World Records for endurance achievements. In 2021-22 she became the fastest person ever to run the length of New Zealand on foot, covering over 2,000 km in 20 days, 17 hours, 15 minutes and 57 seconds — breaking the previous women's record by 15 days. In 2023 she set the Guinness World Record for greatest distance on a treadmill in 48 hours (340.36 km), and in 2024 she set the world record for greatest distance on a treadmill in one week (846.16 km). She was also the first woman ever to run the 1,500-mile length of South Africa's Freedom Trail. A qualified ultra marathon coach, visual artist, and keynote speaker, she uses her record-breaking endeavours to advocate for adventure and mental resilience.
