Flavie Bruyneel is a French ultra-trail runner and yoga instructor based near Chambéry who made an emphatic entrance into the sport, winning her ultra-trail debut outright at Échappée Belle in 2019. Since then she has built a broad palette of results across the French Alps, winning the 100km Grand Raid du Guillestrois-Queyras in 2023, the 85km Oisans Trail Tour in 2021, and the 50km X-Trail Courchevel in 2020, while also taking on the sport's biggest stages — the TDS, CCC, 6000D, MIUT, and Saintélyon. Her best UTMB-circuit result came at the 2023 TDS, where she finished third in Chamonix behind Maryline Nakache and Fiona Porte; that same year she was also on the podium at Sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie. Bruyneel has spoken openly about the mental side of ultra racing, and her rapid rise from debutant to Alpine podium regular has made her one of the more closely watched French trail athletes of the past several years.
