Giulia Vinco is an Italian trail and ultrarunner from Verona who came to the sport later in life, beginning her running journey after a transformative trip to Myanmar in 2016 at age 26. She trained with single-minded intensity — seven days a week, alternating running with mountain work and covering up to 140 kilometres per week — and progressed rapidly to the elite level. At the 2024 Western States 100 she became the highest-placed Italian woman in the race's history, finishing in 20:46:40. She won the S1 Trail La Corsa della Bora in 2025 overall (first across male and female competitors) and has built a career defined by consistent improvement and strong podium performances at European ultras. Her UTMB Index of 697 places her among Europe's most competitive 100-mile women, and she represents the increasingly powerful new wave of Italian ultrarunning talent.
