Grant Guise is a New Zealand trail and ultrarunner from Wanaka who came to the sport via ski mountaineering, racing the North American and European skimo circuits through his twenties and competing at the 2008 World Ski Mountaineering Championships and the Pierra Menta before transitioning to running. Over a 12-year trail career he won New Zealand classics including the Routeburn Classic and Avalanche Peak outright, took the 2015 Australia/New Zealand Skyrunning series title, and placed 8th overall at the Hardrock 100 in Colorado, backing it up with a further top-10 finish there alongside results at Ultra-Trail Australia and the Hong Kong 100K. He completed the 125km Canadian Death Race and now coaches for Team CP.
