Jean-Claude Pache is a Swiss trail runner from the Glâne district of canton Fribourg who has remained competitive well into his veteran years on some of French-speaking Switzerland's toughest courses. He won his age category at the Trail Verbier-Saint-Bernard — Switzerland's first ultra-trail over 100 kilometers — and won the inaugural Supertrail du Barlatay in 2012, a steep, technical circuit through the Pays d'Enhaut that suits his strengths. He has also completed La Réunion's grueling Diagonale des Fous.
