Jody-Lynn Reicher is an American ultrarunner from Midland Park, New Jersey who turned to endurance racing after a 1991 injury and spinal fusion surgery ended her Olympic marathon ambitions. A massage therapist by trade, she became a fixture of the Badwater 135 across Death Valley, finishing the race five times between 2002 and 2006 — debuting in 43:26:00 in 2002, battling through DNFs in 2003 and 2006, and running her fastest and best result in 2005, placing 3rd among the women in 40:34:37. That same year, she set the North American Women's 24-Hour Record, cementing her place among the toughest road and desert ultra specialists of her era.
