Jorge Pacheco is an American ultrarunner and longtime fixture of the Southern California and desert ultra scene, named UltraRunning Magazine's 2008 UltraRunner of the Year. He won the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run three times (2001, 2003, 2004), setting a personal best of 18:52 in his 2003 victory, and capped his career highlights with the 2009 Badwater 135 Ultramarathon title after finishing 4th there in 2007 in 26:41. He also won the 2008 Rocky Raccoon 100, demonstrating range across mountain, desert, and flatter 100-mile terrain. Known in the community for his close friendship and rivalry with fellow ultrarunner Dave Mackey, Pacheco has logged 151 results in the UltraRunning Magazine calendar database across a long and durable competitive career.
