Judy Overholtzer is an American ultrarunner best known as one of the most successful women in the history of the Badwater 135, the 135-mile road race across Death Valley from Badwater Basin to the Mount Whitney Portal widely regarded as one of the toughest footraces on earth. Racing at the event through the mid-1990s, including a bib #3 start in the 1996 edition, she was among the small handful of women to win the women's division of Badwater on multiple occasions during the race's formative years, when it was still an invitational field of the country's toughest heat-and-endurance specialists. Her results are also recorded in the Deutsche Ultramarathon-Vereinigung (DUV) international ultra statistics database, reflecting a broader ultra-distance racing career beyond Badwater.
