About
Kellie Angel (née Emmerson) is an Australian elite trail runner, Occupational Therapist, and coach who transformed from a fun-runner into a five-time Australian representative at the Trail World Championships and Mountain Running World Championships, even serving as Australia's flag bearer in recognition of her long contribution to the sport. She won her first Victorian trail state championship in 2012 and the Australian long-course trail title in 2015, backed by consecutive Surf Coast Century victories and a Buffalo Stampede 42km win in 2016. Her signature result came in 2018 when she won Ultra Trail Australia 100km, ranking 8th on the Ultra Trail World Tour that year. In 2023 — after having two children — she placed 2nd at the Lavaredo Ultra Trail 80km in the Dolomites and 17th at UTMB CCC (100km), and represented Australia at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Innsbruck-Stubai. In 2024 she completed Western States 100 in 19:47:22, and in 2025 placed 3rd at the Ultra Trail Australia UTAMiler. She holds a PhD in exercise prescription and co-founded Endurance Edge, a coaching platform, with her husband Tegyn Angel.
