About
Lorena Di Vito (born 2 November 1962) is an Italian road and ultra-distance runner whose peak performances during 2007 establish her among the most accomplished long-distance athletes of her generation. At the IAU 100km World Challenge in Winschoten, Netherlands, she recorded a personal best of 8:26:27, a time that places her in the elite tier of the road 100km distance. That same year she set a marathon personal best of 2:53:28 in Milano and logged a 24-hour mark of 201,240 metres at a race in Madrid — an extraordinary triple in a single calendar year. Di Vito holds a half-marathon personal best of 1:29:16 set in 2012, reflecting a broad range of endurance capability across distances from the half marathon to 24 hours. A registered athlete with World Athletics and a member of Italy's long-distance running community, she is representative of the Italian tradition of excellence in road and track ultra-endurance events that has produced world-class 100km and 24-hour performers for decades.
