About
Luca Manfredi Negri is an Italian trail runner and personal trainer from Oliveto Lario on the shores of Lake Como, Lombardy. He began running at age 25 after years of various sports, progressing rapidly from road running to mountain and ultra-distance competitions. His most celebrated achievement came in June 2020 when he set a world-class 24-hour vertical record, accumulating 17,000 metres (53,858 feet) of elevation gain over 149.6 km of running on a repeating loop — and within the same effort logged an Everesting in 11 hours 10 minutes, one of the best times ever recorded for matching the height of Mt. Everest in a single run. A winner of the Adamello Ultra Trail in 2018, he is also a running coach and event organiser. He runs for the Brooks RunHappy Team.
