About
Marisa Lizak is an American ultrarunner from California who specializes in fixed-time and extreme long-distance events. In December 2019 she won the Desert Solstice 24-Hour and 100 Mile Track Invitational outright — defeating all male and female competitors — covering 148 miles over 24 hours and setting the U.S. F40-44 age group 24-hour record at 238.32K. She also posted the fastest North American women's 100-mile finish of 2019 (14:50:44). She subsequently set the American record in the 48-hour distance, covering 391 kilometres at the Three Days at the Fair race — one of the highest 48-hour mileage marks by a North American woman in history. Her outright win at Desert Solstice and her 48-hour American record established her as one of the United States' elite multi-day and timed-event specialists.
