About

Michael "Mike" Trevino is an American ultra-endurance athlete and tech entrepreneur from Fort Dodge, Iowa, a graduate of Saint Edmond High School who played football at Cornell University and was named a Cornell Tradition Fellow. After running his first marathon in 1998, he moved quickly into ultra-distance racing, winning the Badwater 135 across Death Valley outright in 2000 and finishing 3rd in the mixed division and 7th overall in 2001 in 19 hours 38 minutes, and later returning to place 2nd in 2006. He also completed a self-supported 275-mile nonstop run down the California coast. Trevino then crossed over into ultra-distance cycling, winning his first competition — a 24-Hour Ultramarathon Cycling Association race in Iowa — with 463 miles, before finishing 2nd overall at his first Race Across America (RAAM) in 2004 and earning the event's Rookie of the Year award. He is now the founder and CEO of the software company Indigenous Software.
