Milan Milanovich is a Swiss ultrarunner best known for one of the rarer feats in American desert ultrarunning: the Badwater double crossing, running the full 135-mile Death Valley-to-Mount Whitney Portal course and back again. In 1996 he set the double-crossing record in 110 hours 26 minutes, a performance documented by UltraRunning Magazine and one that stood among the defining marks of the Badwater course's early self-supported double era. His achievement remains a reference point for the small group of ultrarunners who have attempted the out-and-back distance beyond the standard one-way Badwater 135.
