About
Pau Bartolo (also written as Pau Bartoló) is a Spanish trail runner from Catalonia who established himself among Europe's elite mountain ultra runners in the mid-2010s at the sport's most prestigious events. He won the CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix) at the UTMB Mont-Blanc week in 2014 before returning in 2015 to claim the TDS (Sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie) — a 119-kilometre alpine route with nearly 7,000 metres of elevation gain — finishing in 14:26:40. He also won the Buff Epic Trail in 2017 and was a consistent contender at Transvulcania on La Palma, one of the most demanding island mountain ultras on the international calendar.
