About

Agnès Hervé is a French trail runner born on March 27, 1977 in Versailles, who began running at age seven in 1984 and first discovered trail running in 2001 before committing fully to the discipline in 2009. Known for her unassuming approach and genuine love of the mountains — she once described racing as simply being about simplicity and connection with nature — she became one of France's most decorated ultra-trail competitors of her generation, winning the TDS (Trace des Ducs de Savoie) at the 2012 UTMB World Series, the 119-kilometre course linking Courmayeur to Chamonix, in 19:07. She had previously finished second at TDS 2009 as first French woman, third at the 2010 UTMB, and had won the EcoTrail de Paris (50km), the Trail du Sancy, and the 100 Miles Sud de France. She also competed at the 6000D and numerous other French mountain races. In addition to her athletic career she is the founder and director of Team Outdoor, a French trail running collective and team that she continues to lead. As of 2021, aged 44, she remains deeply embedded in the French trail community as both an athlete and manager.
