Lucy Bartholomew is an Australian trail runner from Melbourne who completed her first 100km ultramarathon alongside her father at age 15 — a debut that foreshadowed a remarkable career. She became Junior World Champion in Skyrunning in 2014 in Chamonix, won the Ultra-Trail Australia and Ultra-Trail Cape Town 100k in 2017, and placed third at Western States 100 in 2018. In 2023 she won the Tarawera Ultramarathon 100 Mile, and in 2024 became just the sixth person ever to complete both UTMB and the IRONMAN World Championship in the same year — six weeks apart. A Salomon-sponsored athlete and plant-based runner with a warm public presence, Bartholomew is one of Australia's most beloved endurance athletes.
