Mònica Aguilera Viladomiu is a Spanish multisport athlete born on January 5, 1974 in Barcelona who excelled across swimming, triathlon, adventure racing, trail running, and mountain bike orienteering across a career spanning three decades. A graduate in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, she began orienteering in the mid-1990s and undertook her first adventure raid in Catalonia in 1997. She became a two-time World Champion in adventure raids at the X-Adventure Series World Cup in 2000 and 2001 before transitioning to mountain ultrarunning. In trail running she reached the podium at the prestigious Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc — finishing 2nd in 2007 and 3rd in 2009 — and won both the Marathon des Sables and the Transvulcania ultramarathon on La Palma in 2011. She also became one of Spain's most decorated mountain bike orienteers, winning the national championship at multiple distances from 2013 through 2017 and claiming the World Masters Mountain Bike Orienteering title in 2015 and 2016.
